Coaching: From Fear to Empowerment

Through individualized coaching, I help people own who they are, connect with their breath and voice, and hone techniques that will help them feel at home and empowered when public speaking.

The fear of public speaking ranks higher than the fear of clowns in the United States. Most folks think of public speaking as standing behind a podium, reading a script (or right off a slideshow), and staring into bright lights in order to avoid eye contact with the audience while sweating. A lot.

That’s not it. That’s more like public talking at people. While being sweaty.

Public speaking is about aligning what you’re saying with what your audience needs. It’s about strategically using the self in order to forge connections that help the audience learn. It’s about breathing. It’s about taking up space.

What’s Coaching Like?

There’s no one-size-fits-all template here. During the first session, we enumerate your goals, identify your strengths, and pinpoint your opportunities for growth. Then, I develop a unique plan for you, and we continue working together for a minimum of six sessions in total.
